jsp files in Office?

S

Seattle Tom

While using Publisher, I received a "failure to open" window identifying the
path for the following file in my Office files: Biz1Lgo7.jsp. The path was:
C:\Doc & Settings\Tom\Application Data\Microsoft\Office; what is this file
and what is it used for in Office, please? Part of the reason I'm asking is
that the same file opens up in my elderly parents system on the east coast,
in their "My Documents" file! And can't be deleted or moved! So to have it
show us this way on our home machine on the west coast felt strange, to say
the least. No files have been transferred, downloaded or otherwise moved
between the two machines. Thanks, Tom

Are you using Publisher 98?
PUB98: Error: "Cannot Read the File biz1logo.jsp"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;187763

PUB98: Illegal Operation Error Message Starting Publisher
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;198029

I believe if you have later versions of Publisher, the fix would be the same. I have
Biz1Lgo7.jsp and Biz1Lgo6.jsp on my computer. The above articles explains what the
file does. The articles also explains how to know if the file has become corrupt.

In earlier versions of Windows the file will be located in My Documents.

Mary,

Thanks for the info; I'm using Publisher 2002. The big thing was to hear
that this IS a normal file; and the article links helped me understand what
the files are for. So, now I can correct my machine and my folks as well.

Thanks, again, Tom
