Keeping preferences after format C

D

Dorlaie

I have to format my hard drive and install XP Pro and will
be reinstalling office 2000. Does the win.ini file still
hold all the preferences that I have set up in all the
components, that is word and excel? I am looking for a
way to copy the neccessary file (s) to hold my toolbar
settings and preference and any other custom changes that
I have made.

You can use the Save My Settings wizard to copy your preferences for
reinstallation after you format your drive. You will also want to save any
..pst files for Outlook as well.
