Licensing

I have a question on Project Server licensing. If a Client Access License is
purchased for a single User then can that user access the system under
multiple accounts. I mean let's say one Project Pro license is purchased for
a single user, and that comes free with one Project Server CAL as well for
that user, then could that user login and publish from Project Pro with one
account and then log in with another account into PWA as an administrator all
under that one user license? I guess the question is if the user is
licensed, then does it matter how many project server accounts he uses. Is
the license based on how many actual humans use the server or how many
accounts are created and logged in with?

Do not rely on information in this forum for legal license interpretations.
There is no one here who can speak for Microsoft. You best bet is to reveiw
the EULA and call microsoft directly. In matters like this, they are most
helpful.

I agree with that and I am attempting to get the legit answer elsewhere so I
wouldn't quote a response from here as such, but I've seen other informative
posts here about licensing and it does seem there are others here more
enlightened than me on this stuff so any experience with this may just help
me with some understanding.

So if I can put the question another way (less about what's legal and more
about the product) - when administrators set out to confirm PWA usage so they
can compare that to their purchased licenses, is it correct (as I've read in
another post) that the product only shows usage as those created non-generic
PWA accounts that have actually logged into the server? Beyond that, I
wonder what the effect is if a Device CAL was purchased and that is being
used by multiple users? Does Project Server care about any of that or will it
just count each seperate Project Server account that authenticates as one
active user? I'll settle what's legit as far as licensing elsewhere but I'd
just like to better understand the capability of the product and how it can
show the information that is used to compare against purchased licenses.

Thanks.
