Line Spacing

I hit enter to create a new line but it insists on being double-spaced, even
though the text I'm working with is single-spaced. How do I change this?

though the text I'm working with is single-spaced. How do I change this?

In addition to JoAnn's response, you should only use Enter (or Return)
to create a new paragraph. To merely start a new line of the same
paragraph, use Shift+Enter (and this will avoid double-line-spacing in
the middle of your paragraph, as well as properly justifying text and
not forcing a capital letter).
