Line Spacing

I am trying to edit an existing PP program. I have
version 9 of 2000. I have one heading line with 4 line
entries under that heading. When I try to edit one of the
lines under the heading line, every line wnats to have a
space between them equal to the width of the line. How do
I keep things single spaced as the original layout?
