Lines on all left pages

Hi,
I have a document where I would like to have some lines on all left pages.
How can achieve this so all the left pages are not changing when I change the
text on the right pages?
In other words - if I set in more text on a right side than there is room
for - it should go to the next right page and leave the lines on the left
page unchanged.

That cannot be done across two pages. You can split a single page vertically
and use them independently though by inserting a two column table.

I don't guarantee that this would work (haven't tested it), but you could
try putting the text in a text box anchored to the Even Page Header (after
enabling "Different odd and even").
