Link different lines of project activity to total up resources

[Tricky]

I have a number of consecutive lines of activity with their own seperate
resource allocation (on various potentially overlapping dates) that i need to
add together to understand my maximum resource of those people on a given day.
So I need to know how to add those resources together.
I also need to know how i alter the resource contraint for various dates,
one week the constraint could be 30, the following week 20, and i need to be
able to tell project those specific dates to understand when i have a bust.

Hi Tricky,

Take a look at the Resource Usage view or the Task Usage view with the
field Overallocation added to the timescaled portion (Right side). The
Overallocation will show you the number of hours a resource is
overallocated. (Sum of the Assignment Units is greater than Maximum
units.)

As far as changing a resource's maximum units over time, if you are
using Project 2002 or Project 2003, you may double click on the
resource's name and on the General tab contour a resource's maximum
units based upon dates.
