Link task columns in project

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to "link" certain task columns to one another so that when one changes they all change.

For example,

I have a column "internal status" and I have that information listed for each milestone for a project. When the status changes I want to be able to just update one task and have all of them get updated automatically (including the summary task if at all possible).

I cannot find how to do this in the "help" menu when I search "link". Any suggestions?

Yes, you can do this. It requires that you use some visual basic programming
however.
Not a simple out of the box thing.
