I cannot change a linked object to a "manual" link. When I change the link from "automatic" to "manual" via Edit/Links, it reverts back to automatic. This only happens when choosing the "Display as icon" checkbox. If I display the actual text from the source in my destination document instead of displaying as icon, it will save the "manual" link settings. I'm running Word XP Pro with latest updates. Any suggestions?
