Linking repeating tables and optional sections to an access databa

Hiya,
I am trying to link my infopath form to an access database so that I can use
the database to generate a unique ID number each time the form is used. I
have worked out that I need to have my optional sections in a linked table in
the database but am still struggling with my repeating tables. Has anyone got
some suggestions as to how I set my database up to allow this functionality,
is it as simple as having a one to many relationship for these tables?
