Linking to Access Data

I print class schedules for my students at school. Since they come to me for
a 30 minute lesson once a week, the entire document consists of a grid
showing the lesson time for each group for each week and then a listing
grouped by lesson classes. The list is in two columns with class headings at
the beginning of each group (Lesson 1, Lesson 2, etc...).

I have been creating this by generating a report listing the students' names
in their class groupings in Access, exporting the report to Word (.rtf),
then cutting and pasting the results into the section of the Word schedule
document that has been formatted for two columns. It is not a difficult
process, but it takes several steps.

I'd like to link the student list in the schedule document (Word) to either
the data tables or the report I'm using manually in Access. The idea would
be to link the report itself so that when students are dropped or added the
changes would automatically be reflected in the Word schedule without my
having to re-do the list there manually. I've discovered that Word doesn't
seem to allow me to link the report directly using Paste Special - the Link
menu choice is greyed out when I've Copied the report in Access.

Is there a way to do this? Is there a way to format columns directly in an
Access report so I could place the schedule grid at the top in the Page
Header section and have the names grouped and formatted in thedetails
section in two columns? Either approach would be useful. I'm basically
looking for a one-click process once it's set up.

Thanks in advance.
