Links Locking Computer

S

SHELKA

If I create a link then save the page, then, add another
link, then save the page ... my computer locks-up. Happens
with all computers in the office using FrontPage 2002.
Also, when saving, message box says 'Verifying document
properties" which it never did before ... ?

I don't know what other information you need. These are
the steps and what happens, for example:
type in a sentence
highlight "a sentence" to put in link
insert the link
save the page
type in sentence number two
highlight "number two" to put in link
save the page
PAGE LOCKS UP ... CTRL-ALT-DEL to close FrontPage

Thanks for the help. Otherwise, everytime I put a link in
my website, I have to save the page, close FP down,
reopen, then add another link, then the same process. VERY
frustrating and time consuming.

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office

Yes, we have uninstalled and reinstalled FP. Service packs
are downloaded on a regular basis for all programs.

And if you have also done 1-4, check that your graphics driver / directX are the latest correct version
