loading Word

Office Works came with my computer originally. Eventually
that hard drive crashed and I had to re-install Works on
the new hard drive. I tried to get into word and a screen
came up asking for the (I forget the exact words) 16 (I
think) character code on the CD jewel box.

I don't have a CD jewel box, the code I have on Works is
not where the help guide said it would be and the code I
have isn't the required number of characters. Do I have
to buy a 2nd Word or Works?
