Local Resource in Task & Resource Assignments

Hi All,
How to prevent local resources in a project plan from
being published to the Project Server. I want to view the
Task & Resource Assigments of only Enterprise Resources.
Any solution?

Here's a technique you can use to prevent a Local resource from being
published to Project Server:

1. Open a project containing a Local resource
2. Click View - Resource Sheet
3. Double-click the name of the Local resource
4. In the Resource Information dialog box, select the "Generic" option on
the General page
5. Click OK
6. Save the Project

By default, Microsoft Project does not publish the assignment information
for Generic resources. Hope this suggestion helps.

This is a good suggestion.Also will assigning the
resource as Generic prevent it from being added to the
list of users on Project server?
I have Generic resources other than the Local Resource
which will be assigned to a Enterprise Resource later on
during the phase of the project. How to change the Generic
to Enterprise later on? Do I have to use Build Team from
Enterprise & Republish Project?
