long delays opening "save as" file location

I "suddenly" have to wait a long time (20 seconds) to open up the file
location in the "save as" feature. (word & excel) It used to happen
instantly. This problem comes and goes (usually comes). Tried uninstall &
reinstall, deleted spyware, still a problem.
Any help?

Try disconnecting any mapped network drives that are not currently available.
