looking for "local.dot"

When I start a new/open a Office Document from the start button and select a
blank document, it's supposed to come up as a blank/new document1, correct?
Well, when using Word 2003 in my Outlook 2003, a portion of the text I wrote
has attached itself permanently to the new/blank “document1â€.
I was advised by a friend to search for “local.dotâ€. This is supposed to be
the template for new word docs. If I can find that, I can remove the
unwanted text from the new document.
With this anomaly, I have to keep removing the unwanted text from my new
“document†and I cannot use MS Word 2003 as my editor in Outlook 2003, when I
open a “new e-mail†page.
Thanks, (e-mail address removed)
