Lookup

I have a form and a subform set up. When clicking into
the subform (command button). I would like the company
name from the form to copy over or lookup so we can see
what company we are in.
I am very new to access. Can someone tell me how to do
this. I tried a unbound text box, but couldn't get the
expression DLookup to work.

The simplest way is to use a Combo Box bound to the company ID; the
combo box wizard will set this up for you so the computer sees the
company ID and the user sees the company name.

It's not clear where you're copying the company *from*. What's the
Recordsource of the mainform? Of the subform? Where does the company
come in?
