Losing contacts and other information

We are using outlook 2000 and it seems like every week different contacts are disappearing. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if this is an isolated problem. Some of the names we have entered 3 or 4 times and then we go back a month later and they aren't there. We don't use outlook for email, just as an address book for the pastor of our church and he keeps different information for the contacts in there also. He really likes the program but I cannot seem to find why this keeps happening. I have even backed up the program, or so I thought and it is missing select contacts also. I could possibly understand if the whole folder disappeared but just to have a couple missing from the folder doesn't make sense to me.

Sometimes the VIEW makes a difference.
Open the VIEW menu
Select CURRENT VIEW
Select DEFINE VIEWS...

Highlight each view in the window and then push the
RESET button
Do this for each view.
Then select the view of your choice and click the APPLY
button.
Then Close.

There are other possible causes but more information
about how you use Outlook would be necessary.

Is this just one machine that uses Outlook?
