lost a Publisher 2002 file! How can I restore?

Not sure how it happened, but I got an error message when
opening my Publisher document. NOW, although it's visible
on my desktop, I can't open it. I'm still getting the same
error message -yikes! How do I restore?

Error message continues to say..."Microsoft Publisher has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience."

Linda what happens if you try and open another Publisher file?

What version of Windows are you using?

What is the full error message. Normally you can click on details and copy
and paste the details into a message here.
