Error with Publisher 2007 making PDFs.

This week, I tried to make a publisher project into a PDF and it suddenly
won't work anymore. It goes through the "Publishing" process, but gets to the
end and says "Microsoft Office Publisher has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I send the error report, over
and over again, but nothing gets better. I couldn't find any info on the
knowledge base or at microsoft support. I tried to re-download the PDF
add-in, with no change. Any ideas what I can do to make this function work
again?

I clicked "What data does this error report contain?" And it says the
following:

Error signature
AppName: mspub.exe AppVer: 12.0.6501.5000 AppStamp: 49b99af2
ModName: fontsub.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5830 ModStamp:4a37adee
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00009274

I clicked "View the contents of the error report" - it says the following:

Exception Information
Code: 0xc0000005 Flags: 0x00000000
Record: 0x0000000000000000 Address: 0x0000000069319274

And there is a lot of other info, but I don't want to type it all in, so if
there is something I should be looking for let me know.

Yes, I am currently using the Microsoft PDF add-in.

I'm not sure why this happened, but I downloaded "Cute PDF" and it works fine
as a "printer" - not through the "Publish as a PDF" function. Thanks!

There is an article here that has a hotfix. It says Word, but I imagine
Publisher has the same issue.
A PDF file that you create in Word 2007 uses the default font instead of the
font that you specified in Windows XP

I'm glad you got it working, thanks for posting your workaround.
