After updating my Windows XP to SP2, my Office to SP3, and Share Point to
SP1, I can no longer open Word DOC files in SharePoint. I get this message:
"Edit Document requires a Windows Share-Point Services-compatible
application and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher."
I need to make Share Point recognize Word again.
I am using
IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158
Word 2002 (10.6612.6626) SP3
Windows XP Version 5.1 (build 2600,xpsp_sp2_rtm.o40803-2158: Service Pack 2)
I can still open PDF, Visio, and notepad documents through SharePoint
I tried remaking the File Type connection between Word and the DOC files,
but that didn't help.
