lost email

I bought a new computer. I backed up my .pst file from my
old computer (the only .pst file I found on it) and
copied it to my new computer. but it only has the email
from 4/6/2004 and before. What happened to the email
between 4/6 and 7/1 when I installed my new computer and
how do I get it back?

Do you still have access to your old computer? If yes, you probably copied your archive.pst file which is not a hidden file. If you search using Windows search and enable hidden/system files, you will find the default .pst file. Make a copy of that one and on your new computer, use File->Open to open it. (You can copy it to any location of your choice - I keep mine on a second hard drive. It is probably best to put it somewhere where you will remember to make a backup.)
