Lost key

I need to format my machine again. I am putting 2000 O.S. and office 2000
back on.
I do not have the key that came with the computer.
Is there anyway to retrive the key for office before I format?

You could try Belarc (www.belarc.com) or one I just learned about
yesterday, RockXP (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/rockxp.html). Don't
know if either of them work on O2k.

Not in Office 2000.
Belarc and other similar programs do not find it and I came to the
conclusion long ago that it is not held on the hard drive, only used
in an installation.
