Lost Menu items in Word

I was messing with a bunch of settings in Word the other
day and somehow lost the Open and Close buttons on the
File menu option. What did I do and how can I fix it?
Help!

Try following you may get help,

1. From view menu go to Toolbar / Customize
2. Select Reset button from Toolbars tab.
