macro for paste and format method

I'd like to create a macro that pastes and formats by matching the format of the pasted text to the format of surrounding text(the WORD equivalent would be "Selection.PasteAndFormat Type:=wdFormatSurroundingFormattingWithEmphasis").

Could it be done?
(Also is there a macro recorder (just like WORD) that records the keystrokes?)
