macro to unprotect and protect

P

Pammy

I have a form template, when the user opens, they can tab from field to field
to fill-in information and save it as a doc., then will another detective has
a form to fill out that goes with the saved doc, they can open the saved doc,
unprotect the doc run a macro that will insert a copy of a blank form on the
next page (already created). Problem, is there a way to create a macro that
will unprotect the doc? Then they can run the macro to insert a blank copy
(already created). Then I need a macro to protect the doc. I do not know how
to create script to unpro and protect. I am using 2003 word. Thanks,

There are issues relating to the insertion of forms within forms concerning
the bookmark names. It would be better if you inserted the extra form with
the macro, taking the onus away from the user to cock it up. There are
examples of code to do this at http://www.gmayor.com/word_vba_examples.htm
