Macros tool bar buttons over a network

Hi,

I have recently created a number of toolbar buttons in project which trigger
macros. I need to be able to share this project file over a network.

When I open the file on another computer on the network the toolbar buttons
are not there, and to put them on the toolbar for each computer it appears I
will have to manually customise them all.

Do you know how I can solve this problem, or at least allow macros to be
triggered over a network in a simple way rather than resorting to each user
going into the macro folder to manually run the macro?

Hi,
The tool bars (with their custom buttons) are stored in the Global.mpt file.
This Global.mpt file is located on each computer running MS Project.
In a previous post, Jan De Messemaeker gave a trick to deploy such a tool
bar on a network : distribute a project file with an autorun macro which
copies the tool bar in the local global.mpt via the organizer.

Thank you very much Gerard for your helpful advice. Further to this I am
having trouble figuring out how to create an auto run macro (triggered when
you open the project). Is there a simple way to code this in vb?

Thanks again,

Thanks Gerard, I have created an autorun macro that upon opening my Project
file another macro is triggered which goes into the organiser and copies the
Formatting toolbar from the global file to the current project file.

When I open my Project file on another network computer, a dialog box
appears stating that the Formatting toolbar already exists, and would the
user like to replace it with the Formatting toolbar in the Global file. Upon
clicking 'yes', nothing changes and the customised Formatting toolbar buttons
that I have created are nowhere to be seen....any thoughts?

Thank you very much,
