Macros

Hi

As part of a distance learning course, we explain how to create and use
macros within PowerPoint. The students have to create a short presentation
and email it for marking. We need to check that they understand how to
create and use macros. Other than pasting the text of the macro into a
document and sending that in as well, is there any other way to check if a
student has used a macro within a presentation?

Thanks

This is sort of confusing! You are teaching students how to use macros in
PowerPoint but you are asking how to see if they have used one in a
presentation? Are you sure you understand how macros work? If you have
your PowerPoint security set to MEDIUM and a student sends you a file, if
you open it up it will ask you if you want to "Enable macros" or "Disable
macros". That in itself should tell you that they have at least tried to
insert macros into a presentation.

Maybe I am missing what you are asking. If so, please try again!

As Bill said, it is not clear what you are asking. Are you having them
record macros, or are you having them write the VBA code? Either way, the
macro will come out as VBA, so you can always look in the VBA editor (Alt
F11) to see the macro code.

Thanks everyone - I wasn't sure if I would be able to see the macro text
from within the presentation
