hello,

trying to do a mail merge with pub 07 and an excel database using office
depot 915-895, 4 up postcards.

set up page one with ad and page two with address merge fields.

pub prints 4 cards on front of page and four address on back of page but it
only uses one of the names from the database on all four cards on the back
side of the page.

then, next page has four of the next database record and so on.

tried using "next record" like in word for labels but that didn't work,
can't find anything in help or using a ms template.

any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

thanks, ted s.

Generally it is less confusing when doing a double sided card is to do each side
separately. The secret is to choose print merge from file and multiple pages per
sheet. (NOT COPIES).

If you don't want two publications and you have a duplex unit...

Insert a page
Open the Mail and Catalog merge from Tools, setup the merge text box.

File, print merge, click multiple pages per sheet. You will see two fronts and
two backs in the print preview on the print screen.

hi, mary!

thanks for the speedy reply, i do apprecate it!

i was thinking of that as i was on appointments this afternooon as i have to
run the thick sheets through the printer twice anyway.

i will try your suggestions and see if i'm smart enough to do it!

thanks! ted s.
