Mail stay in outbox

When I send mail (document) from word 2003, the mail go to the outbox in
outlook 2003, but stay there, it doesnt go out UNTIL I open outlook. When
can I do to fix it.

Try Tools - Options - Mail Setup tab, and click to enable the Send
Immediately When Connected option.

I didn't even really notice before that you were sending from Word.
Actually, I'm not sure how you're even able to access the "e-mail envelope"
in Word 2003 unless Outlook 2003 is running. But, yes, in order to send
email immediately, Outlook 2003 does need to be running. Caveat: I don't
know if this is also true when running under MS Exhcange Server.

I use Outlook Express, and I can create email messages (from Word or other
apps) without having OE open. They are in OE's Outbox when I start it.
