Mailing List Manager how to use

Can someone tell me how to use the Mailing List Manager and how it differs
from creating mailing lists in the address book? I am a little confused on
how it is better or different than the address book. Thanks..

The Mailing List Manager is for lists to which you are subscribed,
whereas Address Book Groups are for lists which you are maintaining.

Mailing lists, you mean Litserves? I do not use those or have not in years.
