Make a icon file from a jpg file

I have several images that r jpg files. I want 2 make them into icon files so
that they will match my desktop. I cannot figure it out and have followed
the instructions that I have found and nothing is working. Thank u in
advance 4 ur help. Susan

Thank U so much. I have tried and tried 2 do this and this application made
it easy 2 do. Great information and link.
