Making macros available to all Visio documents

In Excel and Word, you can write macros and store them (in
Personal.xls and Normal.dot respectively) so that they are
available to any document you open.

Can this be done in Visio 2003 (without buying software to
create com add-ins or whatever)?

....and if not, Microsoft, why on earth not?

Thank you in advance.

In Visio, you can store your macros in all Visio-documents, like:
- documents
- templates
- stencils

Working with Visual Basic Editor, you are able to export and import macros.

For my applications, I prefere also to store my macros (forms, modules and
class modules) in library-folder's on my HD.

Peter, thank you for this. I still can't quite see my way
to what I want to do.

1. I already have ten Visio documents I am working on.
Can I attach a template to these documents, the way you
can in Word? That would enable me to make the macros
available to them (I don't want to import the macros
because I will have to do it every time I edit or add
macros)

2. Does the storing of macros in a library help solve my
problem? How do I do that?

Thanks, Anthony
