Manual carriage return

When I'm in a cell, I want to manually hit the "return" key and drop
down to the next line WITHIN a cell. I know on PCs the command is
<shift> <return> but that doesn't seem to work on Mac. Anybody know
how? Thanks

On PC, the command is usually <Alt> - <Return>.
On the Mac, it is: <Command> - <Option> - <Return>.

From XL (v.X) Help: Keyboard Shortcuts/Keys for Entering Data:
CONTROL+OPTION+RETURN Start a new line in the same cell

CMD+OPTION+RETURN works, too.
