I make presentations with about 20 slides. All slides look the same, but some items are different on every other slide. I prepare the slides in advance but just before presenting, about 3 ours, I get the last information that is needed on the slides.
So therefore I would only like to change the first slide which bares all the info that is changing. After doing that, I would like the other slides to have the same changed info.

How do I get this.

You can CMD+Select specific slides in Slide Sorter view, then change the formatting either in the Formatting Palette or by using Format | Slide Background. Choose "Apply" rather than "Apply To All" and the background will only change on those selected slides.
