menus gone

In outlook, my menu are gone. FILE, Edit, etc along with my buttons. How do
I get these back?

I don't have a menu bar, it's gone!

First, try resetting them -- View | Toolbars | Customize, and on the
Toolbars tab, select each one that's missing and then click Reset (or
check the boxes if they're not already checked).

If that doesn't work, try renaming your outcmd.dat file to outcmd.old
while Outlook is closed. Outlook will rebuild the default toolbars the
next time you open it. If your toolbars "stick" after doing this, then
you know it was the outcmd.dat file causing the problem. If you
customize your toolbars at all, make sure to make a backup of the new
outcmd.dat file after it's created, so you can restore it if you ever
run into the same problem again.

Note: If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, you'll need to search in
hidden and system folders to find the outcmd.dat file.

Sorry about that You should probably just delete or rename
outcmd.dat, then.
