Microsoft Cursor Engine error '80040e21' Error Creating a New Tas

We are useing MS Project Central Server.

When trying to create a new task we are receiving the following error.

"Microsoft Cursor Engine error '80040e21'

Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.

/projectcentral/Tasks/NewTaskPage.asp, line 102"

We have the Web side of Project Central installed on Windows 2000 SP4, IIS5
and the SQL Database on Windows 2003 Server, SQL 2000.

I have searched for the error message on Technet and Google and everything
points at a SQL problem but nothing specific in relation to Project Central.

Can any one help please or point me in the right direction
