Microsoft Office Is driving me nuts! Please Help.

I was just given this computer and my microsoft word works, however I am
getting errror with Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. I think I may need to
re-install the software. I am registered with a valid Product ID currently.
BUT... I really need to figure out how I can get all my applications to
work!!!! Please help. Thanks!

Without knowing exactly what error messages you'regetting, we can't do much
to help.

I tried to open Outlook and its saying to me " Outlook failed to start
correctly last time. Starting Outlook in safe mode will help isolate... " I
click yes to open in safe mode.
Then.... " The connection to Microsoft exchange server is unavaliable.
Outlook must be online to complete this action." I click OK

Then... there is a sever pop.3 exchange error? So I have capability to
access calender but not the email section etc.

WITH EXCEL....

When I attempt to open the applications, I get "Intsallation error: File not
Found

A required installation file SKU011.CAB could not be found

Original Installation Source Required:

If you installed mircosoft office from CD, please insert your CD. If you
installed Microsoft Office 2003 over your computer network, please browse to
the installation source on your network. Once you have located your
installation source, click OK."

Underneath that has a Browse tab to choose to find an application or file in
my comp.

Would it be easier to trash my current application and re-install the entire
2003 again? If so, how can I do that? Where do I go?

Since you said you were just given this computer, do you know if the former
owner had the same problems? If you have the Office disks and product key,
you could try doing an uninstall and reinstall. I don't know if that will
nevessarily correct the problems but at this point, it's worth trying.

Former owner never really used it themself, they has an employee use it and
he no longer works here. They never noticed the problems.

What if I dont have the disks? Can I use someone elses? or is there a
website where I can do this and still use my own product ID#

Since you said you were just given this computer, do you know if the former

No websites.

If you have a product key, you would need to find someone with that exact
same version of Office. If you have the key and it was for a retail copy of
Office (not OEM), Microsoft can replace your CDs for a nominal charge. If
your key is for an OEM version, you can't install it on another PC, with or
without the disks.
