Microsoft Publisher '97 to Microsoft Publisher 98

Bonnie Sutliff

I'm trying to share a floppy disk with publisher '97 file
on it. The recipient has a Publisher '98 program and
can't open it. What's up? A newer version can't open an
older version? He gave me the setup for Publisher '98.
Should I upgrade mine and then all the files will convert
over? Please help!

Publisher 98 can read Publisher 97 files.
How are you saving the files to the disk?
Are either of you using Norton AntiVirus?
Are you *sure* that you have Publisher 97 and he has 98?

No, as that would be illegal.

As an aside to Ed's answer, DON'T switch to Pub 98 from Pub 97. You'll hate
it. Pub 98 is a horrible version.
