Which microsoft word software is compatible with " windows xp media edition"??
I'm also on a budget.

Word 97, 2000, 2002 (XP), 2003

Least expensive way to get just Word is by buying Microsoft Works Suite. The
latest version of that comes with Microsoft Word 2002. If you need Excel or
PowerPoint, you probably would want to buy Office instead.
