Migration performance.-

P

Pedro Fraile [MS]

Hi guys,
I have a question that is very generic but I can repro in these moments.

I migrated from Project 2002 to Project 2003 following the books online

Project Server 2003 Installation Guide

nol/office/proj2003/reskit/servinst.asp>

But, he tells me that when open Project files stored in the server the
performance is very poor.

For example, if they open a project MPP file created in Project 2002 and
save in Project Server 2003 the performance good and more faster than
Project 2002 but when the database is migrated the performance is bad for
them.( around the 10-20% decrease )

I have a workaround: Publish all MPP files created in Ms Project 2002 to
Project 2003 is a not good troubleshooting.

I heard that other people had this issue, or similar issue, but do you know
problems with the migration process?

What can I do??

Thanks for your time that is very appreciated for me.

Regards,

Pedro.-
