Milestones

Chaps,
I am stuck on site with no P6 but I have MSP. I have four major milestones
with approximatley 50 activities attached to each but they are all over the
network (By system) I need to list the milestone with all the predessesor
activities listed underneth preferably in early finish order so that I can
see the critical activities which are pushing the milestone(s) out. I can
then trace back through the worst few to make sure the logic is correct. I
realise I can go through and code each activity with a code in a text field
but is there an easier/ better way?

I would take the Text1 field approach. In that text field, I'd label the
corresponding milestone. Then use the custom group by feature of Project to
group them all together. You can sort by date as well.

Custom grouping is under Project/Group By../Customize Group By...

That's perfectly normal Project behaviour except the norm is to list the
milestone below its predecessors rather than on top of them. The milestone
is a task with zero duration that indicates the single instant in time where
the completion of a chain or network of predecessors occurs - it does not
extend over period of time. I'm getting a feeling that what you are calling
a "milestone" is actually what we usually think of as a summary task that
describes the rolled-up values for a sequence of subtasks, running from when
the earliest subtask starts until the latest subtask ends. The last task in
the sequence may be the single point milestone that marks the instant of its
completion. Outlining your tasks in the conventional sequence of
