Missing Outlook Entries

I sometimes make an entry to the address book, save it, and then search for
it only to find that it is not there. When I re-enter the entry and save it
I get the message that it is already a part of the address book and pulls up
the entry asking me if I want to update that record. I do just that, but
when I try to access the record again it does not find it.

You never use the address book view to create entries. It contains no data.
Use your Contacts Folder.

Can you post some configuration details to work with like at least your
version of Outlook and type of mail account(s) configured?
Also, posting your exact steps to reproduce (where you click and where you
look) would be helpful in this case as you are probably somewhere missing a
step or are looking in the wrong place.

You are not alone. This frequently happens to me. Particularly frustrating
when it is an out of date record that you want to delete/amend and can't do
so! I look forward to someone coming up with an answer

Answer already posted. The address book view was never intended for data
entry. Use Outlook as it was intended.
