Missing Table Lines

I posted this a couple of weeks ago, and got only one response, which did not
resolve the problem. Anybody else with an idea?

I have a multi-page table (about 30 pgs) in which I MUST track changes. The
table was originally set for single lines everywhere (outside and between all
columns and rows). I have deleted some rows, and in those places the bottom
row on a page prints with no bottom line.

These places come where one or more rows have been deleted. If I select the
row and look at Format - Borders and Shading, it shows that there is supposed
to be a bottom line on the row, but the line won't print. If I select the row
and a few subsequent rows, Borders and Shading also indicates that lines
should be showing. If I show deleted text as strikeout and then attempt to
re-format the lines, the missing bottom lines will appear and print when
deleted text is showing, but they disappear again as soon as I hide the
deleted text.

If I insert a row below the one that is missing a line, the line will appear
and print, but that often leaves a blank row at the top of the following
page.

I can't accept all changes, because I am required to issue this document
with changes tracked for revision control. Any suggestions on how to get ALL
my lines to print?

I'm running Office 2003 on Windows XP Professional.

Thanks,

Fred

I wish I could accept the changes, but I cannot. I am required to publish
this document with changes tracked.

Then resign yourself to the fact that lines do not print properly
until after changes are accepted, and circulate your interim document.

Or send 'round _both_ versions.

I guess I'll just have to draw graphic lines in the document, because (a) the
document will be published with changes tracked, and (b) even if I can
"resign myself" to the fact that the lines won't print correctly, my manager
will never resign herself to that fact. The lines must appear perfectly, and
the changes must remain tracked.

I hate it when Word won't do what I need it to. (And that hate raises its
ugly head far too often.)
