Moving Outlet 2000 to a new machine

D

DDR35

I have just upgraded from a W2000 DT to a WXP Laptop. I am moving Office 2000
over to the new computer. For Outlook using Import/Export I moved over
inbox, calendar, and contacts. Initally I had some problems in that CD files
have read only attributes. I finally got around that and everything worked
fine. I then began the Office Updates. First I updated with SR-1A, Next
SP-3. After SP-3 I got the message "A program is trying to access email
addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is
unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "NO".

I have deleted and reinstalled Office 2000 and the problem persists even
after deleteing the Contacts List. It got to the point where the above
message comes up with a blinking ponter/hourglass that causes Outlook to go
away after 15 secs. I even checked to make sure Security levels on both
machines were the same.

I have reinstalled again and I am leaving it at Release SR-1a. I even tried
SP-2 and the same problem appears.

I suspect it is a problem in the Registry. Can anyone help
