Moving uncompleted tasks to a future date

Hi All

I have a question concerning moving uncompleted tasks to a future date.

I want to be able to aportion part of the tasks work to a future date whilst
leaving the completed part of the task in the past. I would also like to be
able to aportion the future task work to the earliest available resource.

Can someone tell me how I can do this?

Part one of your question is easy. From the tools menu select "update
project" then use the move uncompleted work to the status date option.

The second part of your question is not possible without you doing it
manually.
