MS Office Icons disappear from my Desktop

I just loaded Office 2003 XP Professional. It seems that after turning off
the computeer and restarting that the Icons for Word, Excel, etc disappear
from the desdk top ... and are no longer listed under MS Office in the
Programs Menu ... but when I go to "update" Office the program indicates that
they are indeed loaded on the computer?

Sounds like your user profile is corrupted and not saving the changes.
Operating system issue, suggest creating a new profile. See Start, Help
and Support. Further questions should be directed to the group
supporting your operating system.
