MS Office XP Activation Window Font Too Big Problem

B

Brian

I have Office XP standard for Students and Teachers (ver. 2002), and am
moving it to a new computer.

Here's my problem. On the new computer, in the activation window for
Office XP, where the key number is displayed which you use to call
Microsoft and then enter the code they give back to you, the font size
is too big. This results in the bottom portion of the information
displayed in the activation window being cut off, the bottom portion
where you would enter the code from MS. There are no scroll bars on this
window, and you cannot re-size the window, so I cannot enter the code.

Any suggestion as to either what the problem is, or a fix?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It sounds like your DPI setting is too large. Change it back to 96. To do
so, bring up the Display properties (either by selecting it out of the
control panel, or by right clicking on the desktop and selecting
properties). Go to the tab that says settings, and then click on advanced
in the lower right corner. On the general tab of the new window that pops
up, you will see the drop down box for DPI settings).

Todd,

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried your suggestion already -- it has no effect on the font
size within this activation window. It does change the rest of the
computer, but not this particular activation window.
