MS Publisher 2000 continually installs

installed Office 2000 disk 1 and then MS Publisher from
Disk 2. After I installed Publisher, it wants to do
another install every time it is executed. What can I do
to resolve this?

You can get a program from the MS website called "msicu.exe" and there is a
second one required for Disk 2 of Office. Read the instructions with these
files carefully, and fully understand how they work, but they will/should
cure your ills.

After that, download the new Windows Installer and install it.

Many thanks for the information. I will definitely read
and try it. Btw.....I noticed one of the files is the CD1
eraser. If I am going to uninstall MS Publisher (on CD2)
do I need to erase the programs loaded from CD1 ?
