MS Publisher: lots of pictures

Has anyone used MS Publisher to create a church directory (school yearbook,
scrapbook)? What template did you begin with and how did you expand or change
it?.

I have used the new Publisher for a church directory. It is very good, one can
include pictures. Once you have finished the merge you can turn the results into a
publication that can be edited over and over.

I have also used all the old Publishers for church directories, couldn't include
pictures but it worked nonetheless.
I've never used a template.
